Nar provides free video calls to persons with hearing and speech limitations
Nar implemented another initiative within the framework of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy. On December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities the mobile operator demonstrated support for people with disabilities. Thus, Nar provided numbers with unlimited internet, so that people with hearing and speech limitations can more conveniently communicate with each other and their family members. Thanks to the provided Nar numbers, persons with hearing and speech limitations will be able to make video calls. By means of video calls people with hearing and speech disabilities can communicate more easily with their close ones by expressing their thoughts using the sign language. Thus, regardless of the distance, they will be freed from communication problems and be able to integrate into society. It should be noted that the numbers were presented to the members of the "Social Assistance to Persons with Hearing and Speech Limitations" Public Union.
On October 14, 1992, the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration on celebrating December 3 as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The goal is to involve the society to addressing the problems of people with disabilities and to protect their rights.
On the eve of December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Nar published a book titled "Bridge to a Silent World" which explains the words sign language of people with hearing and speech limitations by means of people gestures. With the help of this informational resource, people with hearing and speech limitations and their family members will get more vocabulary and will be far from trouble when communicating. Provision of support for persons with disabilities is one of the priority directions of the CSR strategy of Nar. The mobile operator implemented a number of successful projects aimed at integration of people with disabilities into society. Azerfon currently employs persons with physical disabilities.
