Nar strengthens awareness in the field of children’s rights
The “Shine with Your Rights!” project, supported by the affordable mobile operator Nar, has successfully concluded with its final events. The project aims to promote children’s rights, enhance school students’ legal knowledge, and develop their analytical thinking skills. Within the framework of the initiative, students from Baku and the regions, including children from vulnerable groups, actively participated in various activities.
On the first day of the event, case discussions were held at the office of the “Regional Development” Public Union with the participation of experts. Participants presented solution strategies based on real and simulated scenarios. Following the presentations, a vote was conducted, and based on criteria such as analytical approach, justification of proposed solutions, presentation skills, and teamwork, experts selected the top three teams. The closing ceremony took place at Secondary School-Lyceum No. 6 named after T. Ismayilov. During the ceremony, students who achieved high results in the training sessions, as well as the winning teams selected by expert vote in the case competition held for children from vulnerable groups, were awarded gifts and diplomas. All participating students received certificates.
To date, more than 2,000 school students, including children from vulnerable groups, have taken part in legal awareness activities under the project. As a result of the initiative, development has begun on a dedicated mobile application aimed at making legal education for children more accessible. The project was implemented in cooperation with the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman), the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Social Services Agency, the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health, the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association, and the “Regional Development” Public Union.
It is worth noting that Nar has been supporting the project for four consecutive years through its partnership with the “Regional Development” Public Union. As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, the company prioritizes the protection of children’s rights, the promotion of digital literacy, and online safety. Nar takes a consistent, long-term approach to initiatives focused on combating cyberbullying, safeguarding personal data, and creating a secure digital environment where children can grow and thrive. The “Shine with Your Rights!” project forms part of this broader strategy and stands as a strong example of effective public–private partnership.
