The development of a mobile application for sign language learning is progressing steadily with the support of the affordable mobile operator Nar, as well as bp and its partners, and under the organization of ADA University and the ADA University Foundation. In the final phase of the project, the work has entered a critical stage — transitioning from content creation to integration and testing within the application. This initiative promotes inclusivity by facilitating communication for individuals with hearing and speech impairments, enabling them to learn sign language free of charge and without the need for an instructor.
Alongside its affordable services, Nar continues to drive social initiatives aimed at building a more inclusive society. Under its newly launched DEIB strategy — Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging — the company is committed to fostering an accessible and empathetic environment for both employees and customers.
Gunnar Pahnke, the CEO of Nar, spoke at the international science conference organized by the Azerbaijan Technological University (ATU), where he highlighted the productive collaboration the mobile operator has established with universities.
Organized with the main partnership of Nar, the mobile operator known for its affordable services and customer-centric approach, the TEDx Sumgait 2025 event once again stood out with its innovative talks and inspiring ideas. Attended by more than 500 participants, the event featured eight speakers from various professional fields who shared their personal experiences and perspectives on this year’s theme — “Coincidence | The Butterfly Effect”.
With the support of Nar, the “B4B: Business for Business” book has been published in Azerbaijan for the first time and presented to students at several higher education institutions. Authored by Abbas Abbasov and Vladimir Klimov, the book offers practical approaches to modern business management, covering strategic planning and innovative development models. The authors are graduates of the prestigious Stockholm School of Economics, and the ideas in the book are based on research and experience gained at the institution.
