Nar congratulated media representatives on the occasion of July 22 - National Press Day and expressed its support by holding an educational training program focused on sustainability and climate change. This initiative demonstrates Nar's commitment to supporting the development of professional media representatives who can effectively drive the sustainability and climate change agenda.
Within the framework of the training held by "Sustainera Solutions", which provides expert services in the field of sustainability and climate change, important aspects were emphasized about the decisive role of the media in promoting sustainability and climate change, the importance of eco PR and the role of trends in sustainability communication.
Hokuma Karimova, Director of Nar's Public Relations and Corporate Communication Department, congratulated the media representatives. “At Nar, our goal is to support journalists in their initiatives to inform and involve the public on vital environmental issues, and thus lead to a greener and more sustainable world. As our country will host COP29 this year, we believe it is of great importance that media representatives are empowered with the necessary knowledge to report on sustainability and climate change issues", she noted.
In addition to a training event on sustainability and climate change, a Fibonacci intellectual game was organized for journalists celebrating the press day. Journalists representing 30 media organizations competed in 6 teams. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners were presented with various valuable prizes. You can watch a short video from the event here.
